Emerald Ash Borer

This project was picked by students in the Junior Naturalist Club at Twin Oaks Middle School.  Students decided to build a large scale model of the damage that this insect creates to Ash Trees as well as a large model of the insect to help spread awareness of this species.

Spanish Moth & Blue Diadem Butterfly

Students from the Junior Naturalist Club at Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake, MN built two large models of the Spanish Moth and Diadem Butterfly to show the differences between butterflies and moths. They choose these two species because they were less common than other butterflies and moths in Minnesota.
