Ant Museum Display

Students are working individually and in small groups to create a 3D field guide with smaller, individual models of insects in cooperation with the Bell Museum. Insects included are: Rhinoceros beetle, dragonfly, honey bee (worker, drone and queen), bedbug, ant cicada, walking stick, orchid mantis, ladybug, clearwing butterfly, emerald swallowtail, saturniid moth, blue morph butterfly, and katydid.

Students are creating a museum display model of a giant water bug.  The model will show the crossed wings forming an X (or V) on the insects back, a identifying trait of the insect order, Hemiptera.
