Minneapolis Murder of Crows

Jasmine S, Sadrea D, Leensa A, Arafat A, Ariauna S

The Urban 4-H Birding Girls' project focuses on the Murder of Crows phenomenon, which is large congregations of crows numbering into the thousands. We conducted research around why the urban environment attracts large numbers of crows and why crows roost, creating a "Murder of Crows." Loring Park in Minneapolis is the site where we observed hundreds of crows roosting starting in November. In addition, our project explores the intelligence of crow, the social nature of crows, and how crows communicate.
